Travel : Western Isles

For Easter 2005 Niks and I headed on a road trip to the Western Isles of Scotland, taking in Arran, Mull, Iona and Skye. We also drove inland to try our luck at monster spotting at Loch Ness.

Timetable from Arran: Tuesday 22nd at 11h05 (Broddick - Ardrossan)
Timetable to Mull: Tuesday 22nd at 16h00 (Oban - Craignure)
Timetable to Iona: Wednesday 23rd (Fionnphort - Iona)
Timetable from Mull: Thursday 24th at 10h00 (Tobermory - Kilchoan)
Timetable to Skye: Thursday 24th at 16h00 (Mallaig - Armadale)

Mull:
We hope to stay on Mull for 2 nights and from there visit the islets of Iona and Staffa (Fingalls Cave). We will stay one night near Fionnphort (Seaview B&B) and the other up near Tobermory... perhaps at Glengrom Castle?
We will also be keeping the binoculars handy to view the local wildlife.

We will spend two nights in Southern Skye and stay at Cuillin Hills Hotel for a few nights. This will be the base for climbing Skye's Cuillin ridge in preparation for my trip to Mont Blanc.
We also hope to head up Norht and visit Dunvegan Catle and stay at Stein Inn
